JUDITH HAMANN
Judith Hamann er en Australsk komponist og utøver, bosatt i Berlin. Deres langstrakte og konsentrerte spillestil har gjort henne til et anerkjent cellist og kunstner, på tvers av sjangre og scener. Musikken kjennetegnes av mikrotonale klangsammensetninger av cello og stemme, blandet med elektroakustiske elementer og stedsspesifikt arbeid. Hamann’s arbeid er komplekst, men samtidig veldig emosjonelt og umiddelbart, og treffer oss med en fundamental dybde og viktighet. Deres arbeid er utgitt på av plateselskaper som Black Truffle, Shelter Press, Another Timbre, Blank Forms og Longform Editions, med en like imponerende rekke samarbeider med blant andre Sarah Davachi, Sholto Dobie, Marja Ahti og James Rushford. Det blir en fryd å høre dem solo i de fundamentale lokalene til Trekanten denne septemberkvelden.

FERDINAND SCHWARZ
Ferdinand Schwarz er en komponist-utøver og lydkunstner som er fascinert av langsomme og tilsynelatende enkle lyder, som han bruker i komposisjoner og felles lytteøvelser. Ferdinand ser på lytting som en aktiv tilstand, et kreativt og relasjonelt verktøy for tilstedeværelse. Mye av hans arbeid fokuserer på strengt redusert lydmateriale og dermed avdekker vårt samspill med lyder – vi observerer oss selv mens vi observerer, og lytter til oss selv mens vi lytter.

JUDITH HAMANN
Judith Hamann is a composer/performer born in Narrm/Melbourne, and currently based in Berlin. Their long-formed and focused playing have made them a renowned cellist and artist across multiple scenes and genres. Described as an “extraordinary Australian cellist” (the Guardian), and as a composer who “destroys the fiction of the musician who lives and works outside conventional parameters and puts in its place a series of compositions that are fundamentally humane” (WIRE), their work encompasses performance, electro-acoustic composition, site specific generative work, and micro-tonal systems in a process based creative practice. Their work has been released by labels such as Black Truffle, Shelter Press, Another Timbre, Blank Forms and Longform Editions, with an equally impressive list of collaborators, such as Sarah Davachi, Sholto Dobie, Marja Ahti and James Rushford. We are thrilled to hear them perform solo in the fundamental Trekanten in Oslo, this September night.

FERDINAND SCHWARZ
Ferdinand Schwarz is a composer-performer interested in seemingly simple sounds, that he approaches in the design of compositions, sound installations and communal listening practices. Ferdinand approaches listening as an active condition, a creative and contingent tool for states of magnified presence and contemplation. Much of his work zooms into rigorously reduced sonic material and thereby uncovers our interaction with sounds – observing ourselves observing, listening to ourselves listening.
